MoleMap CD™
This image viewing system, developed in conjunction with the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center and Digital Derm in Columbia, South Carolina, permits a series of total body photographs to be transferred to a CD-ROM. Rapid image selection, cropping and high resolution of a chosen area is the result. With these base line images, an effective comparison can be made with follow-up visits as well as with any pre-existing file photographs.

Don Allen Studios is the exclusive independent distributor of MoleMap CD™ in the New York area.

MoleMap CD™ is clearer than chart notes, easier to manage than slides or paper photos, and allows enlarged viewing of specific areas instantly. It not only permits you to follow changes in existing moles. It helps you to spot new lesions that may have developed since the baseline images.

Don Allen Studios specializes in medical/patient photography that provides vitally important service to Dermatologists and the needs of their patients. The American Academy of Dermatology notes that about a million cases of skin cancer are discovered in the U.S. each year — that's half of all new cancers. One of the most important weapons against skin cancer is Total Body Photography. It can help in the early detection of new moles and aid in the screening for melanoma.

Total Body Photography
provides an accurate record of the clinical appearance of a patient's moles. The patient is prepared so that the series of 30–36 photographs requested by the doctor represent an accurate base line. The patient is lit so that the appearance is completely realistic and the doctor is provided with a perfect visual tool from which to work.

Don Allen Studios employs both male and female photographers to make sure the patients are relaxed and unembarrassed. We tightly control the processing on site for consistent results and to maintain confidentiality.
